Today's Hike

Hannah felt like a short hike and wanted to show us a good road that has lots of trails branching off and not much traffic. Good place for walking and for taking the dogs. So head up the mountain past La Colina and then take a right.

The picture above is a pig farm. Isn't that the prettiest pig farm you've ever seen?

Some type of thorn tree with bright red blossoms and ominous vultures circling overhead.

We spend a lot of time doing this. I'm probably saying "See that bird there?" This place is birdwatcher paradise. Really!
Just think of the money we are saving on our clothes budget while we are here!
Cute little squirrel took off as soon as BigJohn headed over to the lime tree.
Pretty good picking! Did you know lemons don't grow in Costa Rica? I haven't verified that info but it's what I've been told. Let me know if you hear anything different.
So BigJohn is busy tossing limes from the tree up to Hannah on the road when all of a sudden Mia takes a flying leap to intercept one of the limes midair. What a super dog!
The sunshine today seemed to bring out the butterflies.
 A flower I hadn't noticed before.
Wild blackberries that aren't ready yet. We'll have to go back for those in a week or two.
Reaching the end of the road.
I'm checking out lime pie recipes! Time to buy a pie plate!
