We saw notices posted around town about a concert last week so decided to attend. We left the house with our flashlights as we knew it would be getting dark on the walk there and we'd need our flashlights to find our way home again.
This was our first visit to The Bat Jungle auditorium. Small place with great acoustics.
For some reason we arrived about a half hour early. Probably because we weren't sure how long the walk would take us. We got picked up by our landlords along the road which was good because we weren't really sure where we were going.
The chorus was getting in their last little bit of practice before the show. Seriously folks, they sounded so awesome it brought a tear to my eye. Just beautiful voices blending together. And their soloists sang like angels.
Waiting for the place to fill up. Ended up with standing room only.
The quartet was an extra treat. Who would think there would be so much talent in this small community.
BigJohn nudged me partway through a song and whispered "Can you see the kitten?" It was strolling across the stage during the performance.
After the concert ended I noticed this young man with the kitten. He said it wandered up and jumped into his lap and fell asleep.
I thought this meant we were taking it home but I guess not.
The kitten finds itself a snack.
We walked by Tramonti's on the way home. Hadn't noticed before that it's just around the corner from "downtown Monteverde" so really close to home for us. We will have to pay them a visit for dinner some time soon and let you know how that goes!
