Had a soak in the hotel hot tub and a fantastic dinner at Hotel Belmar tonight to celebrate with Hannah. Happy Birthday Hannah!
But now for the rest of the story! Since we're in a hotel hot tub, everyone assumes that we are tourists like them. It's fun to meet people from all over the world and hear about their adventures. So what country do you think it is where it's okay to get out of the hot tub, strip down to nothing, dry off, and then get dressed? And there was also a lot of "Here - let me help you dry off!" going on. Of course I missed most of this because it's not polite to stare. But I'm guessing France.
So when we decide to get out of the hot tub and go to dinner, who do you think I see out there changing their clothes? BigJohn getting all foreign! Now he had left the hot tub area but the walls were glass. He says he had a towel on but it must have been flesh colored. It's nice to see he's adjusting so well to the new place!
The Belmar has a nice restaurant. You know the kind. Lots of silverware and glasses and 3 people waiting on your table. It was Hannah's birthday so she ordered for everybody and then we played a musical plate game where you take a few bites and pass to the left. We had four different steaks. One with rosemary sauce, another three cheese sauce, cranberry steak, and something else I can't remember. It was a lot of beef and all four were delicious. Great chef!
