Turns out BigJohn and 4-year-olds have a lot in common. They both like hanging out in the yard, lizards, throwing rocks, building fires, hiking, eating ice cream, and the list goes on...
Hiking from Monteverde to our place in Bajo del Tigre. Always wondered what was on the other side of this rock wall.
Down the lane to the house.
Watching butterflies at the bird feeder.
Playing with the bubbles left over from Francisco and Hannah's wedding.
Green spiny lizard Mr. Green Jeans makes an appearance.
Telling tall stories on the deck.
Breaking wood for the fire.
Feeding watermelon rinds to Canela.
Waiting for the fire to burn down to coals.
Birdwatching from the deck.
World's longest hot dog stick.
Taking home some of the No-Bake Cookies we made.
More bubble blowing.
Heading back to town.
Just one more stop at the Monteverde Cheese Factory. Favorite ice cream? Cherry. Must also mention the favorite number - 68. Surprising how often it came up during the day.
Headed back to town. BigJohn looking a little worse for wear after a kick to the lip. Lesson learned - make sure they aren't kicking excitedly when you do the lift over the head part. He needed a three hour nap to recover from his day.
You two are just plain adventurers. How is that spelling? It's fun to see what you are up to today. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHey, Sara, please clarify....BigJohn or the child needed the nap? :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the child, but I know BigJohn was out for the count!
