Remember the Tilde!

Look! I'm all hi-tech and sparkly up there! That's Happy New Year en español. It's important to put the little squiggly mark (the real name is tilde - pronounced TILL-duh) over the n in año. Because if you don't, you are saying just ano which translates into anus and you've just told somebody Happy New Ass. I found this out last night. Aren't you glad you are reading this blog? So you don't get into awkward social situations? PS Thanks to Francisco for this information.
